Fun Family of 5!!!
{Hales Corners WI Family Photographer}

I had such a wonderful time with this family and it was sooooo good to finally meet them.  Even though we didn’t have the session until June, they called to schedule it way back in March which felt like forever.  But, like they say, all good things come to those who wait.  LOL  And, good it was.  Great weather, great location and great family.

Anyway, “B” family, I know you are probably anxious to see your images and you will be seeing them soon.  But, here is a little sneak peek while you are waiting.  I was great meeting all of you and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

And Baby Makes 5!
{Delafield Wisconsin Newborn Photographer}

This little guy was 11 days old when I photographed him and he was also the most awake and alert newborn I have ever photographed.  Typically I like me some sleepy newborns but the eye contact this little guy gave me was amazing.  So, even though we didn’t get the sleepy ones that I love to get, I’ll trade that for the eye contact that I did get.  🙂  He is a big boy.  Born at almost 10lbs.  And, look at all that dark curly hair.  Love!  🙂  The whole family is absolutley gorgeous and I really, really enjoyed my time with them. Anyway “M” family, it was wonderful meeting all of you and congratulations on your baby boy.  🙂

Family Fun, Winter Session!
{Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois Family Photographer}

Well, this was actually scheduled to be a winter “SNOW” session…. but, for 3 days prior to our session, it was 50deg and raining.  🙁  Which melted ALL of our snow.  Seriously!  50deg and rain in January, in Wisconsin?  Not right!  But, despite the no snow problem, it was still an awesome session with an awesome and fun family.  Dad called and wanted to set up a session for his bride as a Christmas present.  He wanted to give her a winter session and a summer session at their love, the cabin.  I thought that was an excellent idea for a Christmas present and I am sure it was a nice surprise.  We started out inside their beautiful log vacation time cabin and then moved outdoors.  This family was so full of laughter, I just loved it and had a blast spending time with them.  Anyway, “K” family, it was great meeting you and I can not wait until our “summer” session together.  Here is a little preview for you.  While you are visiting my blog, feel free to click on the “add a comment” link below this post to leave me a comment. Oh Boy! Family of 6
{Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois Portrait Photographer}

This session took place on a very, very cold day.  It was in the mid 20’s with blustery winds.  Brrrr!!!! But these guys, and mom :), were troopers and a ton of fun.  Besides a lot of laughing and goofing around, the one thing I have to say about these guys, is that they never complained once for having to be there.  Not that I heard anyway.  LOL  Typically with the guys, I will get a couple of moans and groans because they just don’t understand the need for portraits.  So, either these guys did understand or they really wanted to make mom happy.  🙂  Either way was fine with me as I considered this session to be a “two thumbs up”. 🙂  Anyway, “T” family, it was great meeting all of you and I hope you have a fabulous 2011.  While you are visiting my blog, feel free to click on the “add a comment” link below this post to leave me a comment.  I would love to know what you think.  Thank-you, Kimberly

Celebrating 50 Years!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Portrait Photographer}

I was very honored to photograph this young couples family photos before their 50th wedding anniversary party on Friday.  Everyone was in town and looking spiffy for the party and so Mr. and Mrs. O thought it was a good idea to have their family photos taken.  We actually scheduled this session way, way back in June so they were really planning ahead.  🙂 Anyway, as I am going through the images, this one just really stuck out to me.  What a beautiful couple and 50 years… wow!  That is amazing.  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. O.  Here is to many, many more years of happiness to you.  ~Kimberly

Family Picture Day!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Family Photographer}

So, finally, my turn for family pictures.  🙂  Smiles… I think not.  Seriously, I would rather go have teeth pulled then try to take my kids pictures.  LOL  See, now, you have to understand…. my kids have literally grown up with the camera in their faces.  Not lying here, my sons first word was “cheese”…. LOL  So, understandably so, they are sick of me and the dreaded camera.  Now, I only torture them, and myself, once a year.  And, another thing, it’s not easy taking your own family pictures.  LOL  Yes, there is the tripod and the timer but man, that’s a lot of work.  So, my neighbor Ms. J so kindly offered her eye and a shutter finger to help us out.  She did this a couple of years ago and it worked out perfectly so of course I took her up on her offer.  I get the family all set up, get the camera positioned and the setting set and Ms. J pushes that shutter…. repeatedly I might add.  Hahaha… Anyway, in return, I took updated pictures of her two little girls.  Ms. L, the older sibling has been my model for the last few years so she has lots of practice.  Remember, my kids have learned to hate the camera, so when I want to try something new, I call on Ms. L.  And, I know that eventually she will get tired of me and my camera soon so I was sooooo happy when Ms. X entered this world in January.  🙂  She’s next.  Wink, Wink!  So, anyway, I have been showing off everyone elses family portraits, child(ren) portraits and High School Senior portraits I figured it was about time I showed off my family.  🙂  So, here we are along with my 2 beautiful neighbor girls.  🙂

Have a wonderful and SAFE Halloween everyone. ~Kimberly
