S0, you’ve heard me talking a lot about the hot and humid weather this summer and complain about the mosquitoes. Well, this session was not hot or humid and nope, no mosquitoes either. Actually, I don’t think the mosquitoes had a chance in the weather we dealt with yesterday. 50+ mile an hour winds and a bit on the chilly side. I couldn’t believe how windy it was, it was crazy. I was more worried about getting hit in the head from flying debris then I was about getting bit up by mosquitoes this time. LOL But, the sun was out and besides the whipping winds, it was actually a beautiful day so we went ahead with the session to give it a try. And, I have to say, I think we rocked it. 🙂 We found a couple of different areas where we could bucker down between some buildings to try to block us from the wind and I do have to say that I think it worked. 🙂 Although the phrase of the day was “ok, go ahead and fix your hair.” LOL I really do love the wind blown look but not the “it” look from the Adams Family. Haha! However, Ms. D here looked beautiful regardless and has the most intense and gorgeous eyes. 🙂 Anyway, Ms. D, I know you are anxious for your sneak peek so here it is. Toto, Where are you? – Class of 2011 Senior!!
Beautiful Smile – Senior Girl – Class of 2011 Senior!!

I am so happy that I learned my lesson years ago and I do not freak out any more and call my clients first thing in the morning to reschedule their session because “gasp” it’s raining. LOL I have learned that watching the 6 or 7 day weather outlook does nothing but aggravate my stress level because as you know, wait until tomorrow and the outlook will change. Or, better yet, if you don’t like what they are saying, just simply, change to a different channel. The outlook might look better. Hahaha! So, yesterday, it rained for a good portion of the day. Mom did contact me a couple of times wondering if we were even going to get the session in or have to re-schedule. I just kept on saying “just wait”. 🙂 So, that is what we did. 🙂 It is a little more difficult now with school being in session so we can’t move around the appointment to much if need be… but, later in the afternoon yesterday, the sun came out. We did decide to get out there early as soon as Ms. A got home from school “just in case” and I am so happy we did. It was gorgeous. Appsolutely perfect. Then shortly after we completed the session, the clouds rolled back in and it started to rain. Hahah…. we beat you Mother Nature. 🙂 Anyway, this location that Ms. A choose not only has been a very, very popular location that the kids are choosing this year, but this is the same location that I did Ms. A’s sisters senior session a couple of years back. 🙂 I had a wonderful time then and a wonderful time now. 🙂 This young lady has such a beautiful smile and such a beautiful personality. She was such a joy to photograph and I had a really great time with her. So, Ms. A, on to your sneak peek. Very Cute and Fun Senior Girl – Class of 2011 Senior!!
{Waukesha Wisconsin High School Senior Photographer}
I have been looking forward to this young ladies senior session since I met her a couple weeks ago at our pre-consultation appointment. So cute and fun… but, not only that, she’s a swimmer and wanted some shots at her schools pool. I have only done one swimmer at the pool before and that was a few years ago already and a senior boy. I had a ton of fun being creative at the pool then so I knew I would have fun again. And, I was right, it was fun. 🙂 In fact, the whole session was fun and the weather was gorgeous. A little hot, but what else is new. LOL At least we didn’t have any mosquitoes to deal with. 🙂 Anyway, Ms. P, I had an absolute blast with you. I hope you enjoyed yourself as well. 🙂 So, now, on to the sneak peek. While you are visiting my blog, feel free to click on the “add a comment” link below this post to leave me a comment. I’d love to know what you think of the images so far and what you thought of your experience with Kimberly Ann Photography. Thank-you, Kimberly
Happy Birthday Mr. M!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Child Photographer}
Another cute, cute, cute one year old session. Mom scheduled this session a few months back so I know she has been really looking forward to it. Little M here turned one just a couple of days ago. He was so good and so intrigued with his surroundings. It was a little hard to get a smile out of him but when we did get that smile, oh my, how cute. Look out mom and dad, with that beautiful smile and those gorgeous blue eyes, you just might be in trouble when he gets older. 🙂 Anyway, it was wonderful to finally meet you and I look forward to seeing you again. And, a BIG happy birthday to Mr. M. What a milestone. 🙂 So, here is a little sneak peek for you while you are waiting on the rest of your images. Football Star Senior Boy – Class of 2011 Senior!!
{Mukwonago Wisconsin High School Senior Photographer}
Another very early morning senior session. We started this one at 6:45 in the morning and it was gorgeous out. It’s not typical for me to do a photo session this early in the morning but I have had a few of them in the last couple of weeks. Sometimes things happen and it’s what we gotta do to get the session in. 🙂 And that does include getting up with the roosters and heading out. LOL Even though it is not always easy getting up and out so early in the morning, I still love the lighting we get this early. It’s absolutely beautiful. Anyway, this was another “a little bit of this and a little bit of that” session. Mr. D here opted for one of my more popular locations this year which includes a ton of variety. I think that is why it is so popular. Not to mention a major tourist attraction. At least going so early in the morning we get to avoid the crowd which I have been known to call a “zoo”. LOL It gets crazy, crazy busy at this location in the summer. So, anyway, Mr. D, it was great working with you yesterday morning and I hope you won your game last night. 🙂 Here is a little sneaky peek of our session together. Enjoy while you are waiting on the rest of your images. Happy, Busy Brothers!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Child Photographer}
I love my job. It’s fun, fun, fun. But, it’s not as easy as many of you think it is or as I have been told on murmurous occasions “you make this look so easy”. LOL Not only does it take talent and lots of training which never ends, it takes knowledge of your camera inside and out. So many people think it’s all in the camera, but I can tell you from experience, that it’s not the camera. The camera only does what I tell it to do. 🙂 So, this is not going to be your ordinary blog post. I’ve decided to show a little behind the scenes from this session. Some good and some not so good. But, as I was scrolling through this session on my camera when I got home, I couldn’t help but laugh. These two boys were sooooo cute and fun but they were also very busy and goofy. And, this IS typical for young kids. Not just boys, girls too. And, I often get parents who wonder if I got “anything good”. LOL Then they see the images and are surprised and very happy. 🙂 All I can do is try to build their confidence during the session… “trust me. I know what I am doing”. Hahaha! I would ask these two cuties to come over here so I can take your picture. You know, tying to get them into “my” lighting. I would get a couple of shots and then I would hear “now, you come over here and get my picture doing a backflip”. LOL They were a hoot and I had a lot of fun getting to know them. So, follow along as I show you some images from our session together.
Awhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
And…. the very next shot…. HAHAHA!!!!!!
And, back to Awhhhhhhh!!!! 🙂
And now… the not so cute. 🙁 If you have been following my blog at all, you know that I have been doing a lot of complaining about the mosquitoes this summer. Not only are they a nuscents during the session, but a huge pain after the session as well. Please see Exhibit A below. You will notice the culprit on the poor little guys nose and the welts it left behind. 🙁
So, there you have it… the good, the bad, the bugs and the cute, cute, cute and the reason…. I LOVE MY JOB!!!! 🙂 Anyway, “K” family, besides the nasty bug on your poor little dudes nose, I hope you enjoy your little sneak preview. 🙂 While you are visiting my blog, feel free to click on the “add a comment” link below this post to leave me a comment. Gorgeous Green Eyed Girl – Class of 2011 Senior!!
{Southeastern Wisconsin High School Senior Photographer}
And yet another wonderful and fun session. This young lady is such a sweetheart and such a beautiful girl. I had an awesome time with her and her mom. This past winter, I photographed the whole family in an outdoor snow session with their snowmobiles and their beloved dog Sully… the session turned out awesome. I Love snow sessions. 🙂 And now, I got the opportunity to photograph Ms. C’s senior portraits. The baby in the family and the only daughter… so, she got the royal treatment. 🙂 LOL It has been such a gorgeous week with very low humidity. What a change of pace from what we have been getting this summer. Anyway, the humidity level is starting to rise once again and it was pretty warm. But, not like it has been. So, even though we were very warm during our session, she really did luck out to get such a beautiful evening. 🙂 Anyway, Ms. C, it was wonderful working with you again and I hope you had a good time as well. Congratulations on making it to your senior year and I hope you have the best year ever. So, here is a little sneak peek that I promised you. Enjoy! Happy Birthday Ms. E!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Child Photographer}
What a happy and cute little girl! This is my third time photographing her within her first year of life and it has been such a treat to watch her and her personality grow. And, when I say “within” one year, I mean, “within” on year as I got to photograph her yesterday on her first birthday. 🙂 One year is such a milestone and you look back and wonder how that went by so fast. She is now smiling up a storm, on a verge of starting to talk, crawls and is almost walking. It goes by soooo fast and before you know it, your baby is having a baby. 🙂 Ms. E here was soooo intrigued with the balloons. She just loved them… and the cake, well, the jury is still out. LOL She played with more of the cake than she actualy ate. She was just being a dainty little girl. LOL Anyway, mom, it was sooooo nice seeing you again and I hope you got to enjoy every possible minute of Ms. E’s first year. It went by so fast but now, it goes even faster. So, with all that sappy stuff out of the way. LOL Enjoy your sneak peek. 🙂 While you are visiting my blog, feel free to click on the “add a comment” link below this post to leave me a comment.
