Call List for Spring and/or Winter Wonderland Sessions

Ohhhhh how I love photographing out in the snow.  Beautiful white sheets of fluffy white snow, kids on sleds, families having a snowball fight or building a snowman.  It is beautiful and fun and the kids, big or small, love it.
Kimberly Ann Photography has been doing this for the last couple of years and it has generated a lot of interest and I have already been getting questioned if I was going to do this again.  And the answer: Absolutely YES!
I am the first to admit that I hate the cold weather that is fast approaching.  However, within the cold lies some forgiveness, because I love the winter white scenic snow, and what could be more fun than having a session outside in your winter best outerwear with the ones you love?  Also, I am already taking names for parties interested in Spring Time sessions.  Many of you know how quickly I book up come spring time.  So, if either of these types of sessions interest you, email info@kimberlyannphotography.com with either Snow session or Spring session in the subject box.  Leave me your name, phone number, address and how many people you are looking to get photographed and I will put you all the “call list”.  This is first come, first serve.  For the snow sessions, I will call you and talk you through wardrobe and also explain how things work when the snow starts to fly. The Spring sessions, you will be called in March to schedule you in for a session in April/May.

Cyber Monday

I love, love, love Black Friday.  Call me crazy, call me nuts but I love the yearly tradition that my sister and I have.  We both have very busy lives and I don’t get to see her as often as I would like.  So, the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, my sister and I hit the malls.  Lots of sales, lots of people but mostly lots of fun.  So, in honor of my sister, I am going to give YOU a….. NO not a Black Friday sale as I will not be in the studio but a Cyber Monday Sale.  It will be One Day only and posted right here on the blog on Sunday evening November 28th… so, keep an eye out.

More exciting things coming soon….

After an extremely busy spring, summer and fall, I am not done yet.  In fact, I have had so much fun and it’s only going to get better. Stay tuned to the blog where you will get all the updates within the next couple of months 🙂 What?  You want some hints?  Okay then, who am I to say no?  ?

And Yet Another Gorgeous Senior Girl – Class of 2011 Senior!!
{Milwaukee Wisconsin High School Senior Photographer}

As of right now, this is my last Class of 2011 senior and WOW, what a season it was!  Busy, busy, busy and fun.  And, I have to say that the season went “out with a big huge bang” with Ms. T here. She was absolutely awesome to work with and stunning with gorgeous blue eyes.  I had such a wonderful time with her.  Great talks, great photos and some great laughs.  Also for a November day here in Wisconsin we couldn’t have asked for better weather for an outdoor photo shoot.  Everything about our session together was perfect… a perfect way to, as of now, end the perfect season.  🙂 So, you may be wondering why I keep saying “as of now”.  Well, that is because every year when I say “last senior of the season”, I get a few more late calls for senior sessions.  🙂  So, yes, I am anticipating that again this year. LOL  But, no worries, I love, love, love shooting high school seniors.  I could do it all year long so keep ’em coming.  🙂  Anyway Ms. T, I had a great time working with you and I hope you had an awesome time as well.  🙂  Here is a little sneak peek for you.  While you are visiting my blog, feel free to click on the “add a comment” link below this post to leave me a comment.  I would love to know what you think so far.  Thank-you, Kimberly

Family Picture Day!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Family Photographer}

So, finally, my turn for family pictures.  🙂  Smiles… I think not.  Seriously, I would rather go have teeth pulled then try to take my kids pictures.  LOL  See, now, you have to understand…. my kids have literally grown up with the camera in their faces.  Not lying here, my sons first word was “cheese”…. LOL  So, understandably so, they are sick of me and the dreaded camera.  Now, I only torture them, and myself, once a year.  And, another thing, it’s not easy taking your own family pictures.  LOL  Yes, there is the tripod and the timer but man, that’s a lot of work.  So, my neighbor Ms. J so kindly offered her eye and a shutter finger to help us out.  She did this a couple of years ago and it worked out perfectly so of course I took her up on her offer.  I get the family all set up, get the camera positioned and the setting set and Ms. J pushes that shutter…. repeatedly I might add.  Hahaha… Anyway, in return, I took updated pictures of her two little girls.  Ms. L, the older sibling has been my model for the last few years so she has lots of practice.  Remember, my kids have learned to hate the camera, so when I want to try something new, I call on Ms. L.  And, I know that eventually she will get tired of me and my camera soon so I was sooooo happy when Ms. X entered this world in January.  🙂  She’s next.  Wink, Wink!  So, anyway, I have been showing off everyone elses family portraits, child(ren) portraits and High School Senior portraits I figured it was about time I showed off my family.  🙂  So, here we are along with my 2 beautiful neighbor girls.  🙂

Have a wonderful and SAFE Halloween everyone. ~Kimberly

Mom and Her Boys!
{Mukwonago Wisconsin Family Photographer}

What a brisk morning it was but it was also a beautiful morning.  I photographed this family last fall and lets just say, it wasn’t the most gorgeous day in the world and we ended up getting wet…. really wet.  🙁  So, this year, our scheduled session was supposed to be Thursday evening.  However, it was gloomy.  There was no rain in the forecast but it was really, really gray and although I can still produce some beautiful images in overcast weather, I know mom was really, really hoping for some sun this time.  So, when I called her yesterday, she jumped on the chance to change the appointment to 7:30 Friday morning.  It was cold, like 28deg’s cold.  But, the sun was out and the boys were amazing.  🙂  I am totally loving the sunrise lighting but not many of my clients would agree to meet me that early in the morning.  LOL  It was wonderful seeing the 3 of you again.  And, mom, to answer your question “do you think they turned out?”…. Answer:  “yes, I do!”  🙂  See your blog sneak peek for the evidence.  🙂  While you are visiting my blog, feel free to click on the “add a comment” link below this post to leave me a comment.  I would love to know what you think so far.  Thank-you, Kimberly

A Guy and His Guitar – Class of 2011 Senior!!
{Lake Geneva Wisconsin High School Senior Photographer}

I just love sessions like this… especially lovin’ the guitar.  This was a mini session but we are set-up to do another mini session this winter with his snowboard…. “excited!”  🙂  How “cool” (pun intended LOL) is that going to be?  Anyway, I photographed this young man’s brother a few years ago… a golfer and a swimmer.  And now, this young man, a guitar player and a snowboarder.  Love it when the high school seniors bring out their personality in their sessions.  Anyway, mom called me a few days before the session kind of nervous because they were calling for an all day rain.  I always try to calm my clients and say “don’t worry, it won’t rain” LOL.  Obviously I can not control the weather but being a bit optimistic sometimes helps…. and, in this case, it did help.  We got the session in with NO problems.  Well, ok, we had a bit of wind but at least he’s a guy and not a girl with long flowy hair.  Haha!  So now, onto your sneak peek.  🙂  While you are visiting my blog, feel free to click on the “add a comment” link below this post to leave me a comment.  I would love to know what you think so far.  Thank-you, Kimberly

Senior Guy – Class of 2011 Senior!!
{Elkhorn Wisconsin High School Senior Photographer}

Another Senior Guy…. I have not had too many guys this year.  Well, actually I have.  But, compared to the percentage of senior girls, no, I haven’t had many guys.  LOL  However, the guys that I have photographed this year have all rocked and Mr. T here was no exception.  He did an awesome job and drum roll please… another awesome evening.  Man, have I (we, my clients included) really, really been lucking out this fall.  🙂  Anyway, Mr. T, I had an awesome time working with you and I hope that you had a good time too and felt that the experience was easy peasy like I promised.  🙂  Here is a little sneak peek for you while you are waiting for the rest of your images.  While you are visiting my blog, feel free to click on the “add a comment” link below this post to leave me a comment.  I would love to know what you think so far.  Thank-you, Kimberly
