3 Makeup Styles That Will Rock Your Boudoir Shoot!! {Wisconsin Boudoir Photographer}

No two women are the same, so why should their makeup be? Don’t let mountains of makeup options stop you from having the time of your life at your boudoir shoot. Whether you’re foxy glam, natural vixen, or looking for that retro look, a boudoir photo shoot is the perfect time to rock what makes you spectacularly you. And the best part is that you aren’t alone! Our in-house makeup artist will help you create whichever fun and flirty style you decide on. If you don’t know, no worries. Our team knows exactly what to do. 🙂

GLAM!

Bring on the contour! This look is all about awakening your inner vixen. For glam, think: lining, smudging and accentuating to bring out that smokey eye. Your lips are another great asset, so we’ll be lining and shining those beauties, as well. Lashes are a must for this look, but don’t be intimidated by the idea of wearing false ones. A little lash-inspiration is easy to come by with the help of our makeup artist.

Remember, you’ll want to choose one main focal point for your glam boudoir look, whether it’s eyes or lips. A good rule-of-thumb is to pair dark eyes with a nude or lighter lip, and a bright lip with a lighter or more neutral eye.  Don’t worry our expert makeup artists have it totally under control!

NATURAL BEAUTY!

If you’re more a natural beauty type of girl, you can still rock your style while wearing some great makeup.

For a natural glow you can add a light powder foundation and a little cheek color, if you’re feeling it. And for your eyes? Think a muted shadow over your eyelid, with a touch of mascara, or a more natural style of false eyelashes. Think about trying a matte natural or nude color tone for your lip!

BOLD / RETRO!

For lady that wants a little bold and a little retro style, a boudoir shoot is the perfect platform to show off her style. If you’re looking for more of a vintage vibe keep things classy with your makeup while emphasizing some glamorous points. The key to this style makeup is not to overdo it! But, with the help of our makeup artist who knows exactly what to do, you can keep the retro vibe alive. Top it off with a red lip, and you’re ready to roll!

Hello From KAP – You’re Beautiful!

I believe that all women are beautiful and I’ve seen how a boudoir session can help women discover their inner and outer beauty.

I don’t think it’s a secret that most women struggle with self image. Why do we struggle with this? I think it’s because too often, we internalize the unrealistic physical expectations that are portrayed through the media and often feel dowdy, unappealing, and inferior. I’m here to tell you, that you’re lovely.

Some of us have forgotten what it’s like to feel beautiful and strong. We are too busy with our lives, our families, our jobs. We feel tired and sometimes, a little unappreciated. Some of us are trying to fit into an impossible ideal of perfection. Have you ever thought that things would be better if you could just fix one little thing? You won’t find perfection by losing a few pounds or trying to hide each wrinkle or imperceptible blemish. A boudoir session is wonderful way to take a little time for you and can help you feel confident, strong and beautiful again. You are truly beautiful right now and a boudoir session will remind you of this every time you look at your images. When you see how fabulous you are, the confidence that exudes from your photos will spill over into other areas of your life.

It’s not about how you look but rather how you feel about the way you look. Confidence is truly a beautiful thing. Confidence is what we all need. Confidence, self acceptance and personality is what I bring out in the women I photograph. I need you to know you’re perfect now. It is my job to coach and find the model that I know is in you.

Will my photos be on Social Media? {Wisconsin Boudoir Photographer}

One of the most common questions we receive is “Will my photos be shown anywhere?” Answer: ONLY if you give KAP permission. We understand some ladies are not comfortable with us showing photos from her boudoir session and we never ever ever make anyone agree to showing her photos. We have an optional Model Release form that every lady has the option to sign or not. You don’t sign, we don’t post or show. The only time the model release is required, is when we are having a model release special because we are trying something new or we need an updated portfolio etc… Some ladies will even agreed to our model release but ask us not to show her face. And that is ok as well. This is your session and your photos. We will always respect your wishes.

Photo Retouching and Editing {Southeastern WI Boudoir Photographer}

Advanced beauty retouching is fundamental in creating our signature look.  After your session, the best images will be selected for viewing and ordering.  Each image chosen for your product order will be retouched to perfection in our digital darkroom to make your portraits the works of art that you expect from our studio. However, we are not heavy handed, we’re not going for a plastic barbie doll skin look. We’re simply removing those unwanted blemishes, etc. and leaving the image looking like your beautiful self!
