Urban Siblings!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Photographer}

Often times, we as parents, take our kids to get their photos taken from the moment they are born and then typically, it stops when they get a bit “older” until their senior year. Then we get their senior portraits and then probably don’t/won’t do it again until their wedding.  In my professional photographer’s opinion, we need to get out of that state of mind and capture those moments.  I often hear from moms when I am out at a high school senior session “we have not had so and so’s pictures taken since she/he was 5 years old”.  Hmmmm, 5 years old?  School aged?  This means we settle for the “school photos” every single year.  I am not one to turn my nose up at school photos.  Well, not really.  The reason I personally purchase a school photo of my kids is this… it’s the “same” backdrop, “same” lighting, the “same” pose and the “same” time every year, year after year.  I get that photo and put it in the same frame as the previous years photos.  Pull out the previous years photos, and am in awe at the changes.  However, these school photos are great for that one reason.  But, they do not showcase “who” my kids are.  Their personalities, their soft or hard side, their gorgeous eyes and they do take images of my kids together.  So, with that said and the lecture out of the way (LOL)…. I had a really great time at this session today and it was wonderful meeting this brother and sister.  Although their ages are separated by quite a few years and although I only had the opportunity to spend about an hour with them, they seemed very, very close.  And, Mr. D is leaving next week for a few months, I am guessing these portraits are going to be very special to all of the family.  Anyway D and K, it was wonderful meeting you today and D, I want to wish you the best of luck in you ventures.  So, with all that blah, blah, blah said, here is a little sneak peek for you. I hope you and a good time.  :)   And, while you are visiting my blog, click on the comments link below this post and leave me a comment.  I’d love to know what you think.  Thank-you, Kimberly

Six Month Old Cutie!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Baby Photographer}

This momma and her darling daughter came to me today from about 2 hours away.  This is a Valentines Day surprise for Daddy.  So, shhhhh… if anyone recognizes these two, don’t tell Daddy you saw them on my blog until “after” February 14th.  LOL  :) I think he’s going to love his surprise and I think it’s a wonderful gift.  Way to go Mom!  :)   Anyway, little Ms. I here was such a good baby and is such a cute little girl.  She has such a precious little smile and gave us some great laughs.  It was wonderful meeting you both today.  I had a great time with you and look forward to seeing you again and Ms. I for her one year photo session.  :)   So, here is the little sneak peek I promised you.  While you are visiting my blog, click on the comments link below this post and leave me a comment.  I’d love to know what you think.  Thank-you, Kimberly

Urban Cuteness!
{Waukesha Wisconsin Childrens Photographer}

This little one is sooooo fun to photograph.  She is so full of sass and cuteness all balled up into one.  The urban setting was a perfect fit for her.  She brought her radio and we jammed to “High School Musical”.  LOL   I think she really enjoys being in-front of the camera and hamming it up.  :)   Her poor fingers were getting cold at the end of our session otherwise, I could have gone on and on and on with her.  :)   Anyway Ms. P, I know how much you like seeing yourself on my blog.  So, as promised, here is a little sneak peek for you.  And mom, I’ll have the rest ready for you shortly.  While you are visiting my blog, click on the comments link below this post and leave me a comment.  I’d love to know what you think so far.  Thank-you, Kimberly

Little Valentine!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Child Photographer}

What a fun, fun session.  We danced, sang, jammed to some music and ate lollipops.  What more could a little girl ask for?  :)   This is my third session with this little cutie and I think she gets cuter and cuter every time I see her.  This was a valentines day mini session and I think we are going to have a lot of variety here for mom and dad.  Ms. I, I love photographing you.  You are a dream to work with and it was great seeing you again.  :)   Mom and dad, watch out for her when she gets older.  I think you are going to have your hands full and she’s going to be a heart breaker.  :)   Anyway, I know you are anxious for you sneak peek so wait no more cause here it is.  While your visiting my blog, click on the comments link below this post and leave me a comment.  I’d love to know what you think so far.  :)   Thank-you, Kimberly

America’s Next Top Model!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Child Photographer}

This little girl has been my muse since see was, hmmm, I want to say 2 years of age.  She is now almost 6.  And, I have to say that I think I trained her well.  LOL  She has gone from totally cheese face, closed eyes smiles to perfection.  Love it!  Love her!  :)   Anyway mom and dad, here are a couple sneak peek images to hold you over until the rest are ready for you.  While you are visiting my blog, click on the comments link below this post and leave me a comment.  I’d love to know what you think so far.  Thank-you, Kimberly

In exchange for being my model, you will receive a custom session and one 8×10 portrait of your choice (total value of approximately $110). Since I have specific ideas to try, wardrobe and styling will be directed by the studio, although I am happy to include a favorite “look” of yours at the end of the session (according to baby’s temperament). These sessions will take place in my new home studio (with the exception of the urban session), weekday sessions only.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Kimberly at kimberlyannphotography@yahoo.com or 262-492-3893.

And, last but definitely not least:

Are you pregnant or know someone who is?

Newborn sessions that take place before baby is 2 weeks of age and come to my home studio will receive a custom session and a complimentary set of 25 custom designed birth announcements with photos from your session.  This session will also be directed by me as I have many ideas I would like to try.  If you are unable to travel and would like Kimberly to come to you, there will be a $75 “traveling studio fee”.
*Note: Newborn sessions can be scheduled as a “tentative” date and best to do so while mom is still pregnant.

Fine Print: No shows or cancellations will forfeit their complimentary session.  All participants must sign a model release form in order to receive your complimentary session.  Other than the Urban session, these sessions are not meant for family sessions or siblings.  Minimal travel fee will apply to traveling session over 25 mile radius of zip code 53120.

These sessions are limited so to take advantage of any one of them, call today.

I also want to show you something I am very proud of.  I’ve had the opportunity this past year to work with and help decorate ProHealth Care Medical Center, Mukwonago D. N. Greenwald Center with my artwork.  I’ve had a image gallery in the pediatric waiting room for a year now and receive numerous compliments from friends, family and clients who see the gallery.  Well, just this week, I added another image gallery by the Women’s Center.  Here’s a quick snap of the wall.  Next time your there, take a moment to check it out.  :)

Walking in a Winter Wonderland!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Family Photographer}

Here is the first on my “Winter Wonderland” Sessions…. and boy oh boy, was it cold.  Now, for the rest of you that have signed up for these sessions, don’t worry.  Typically we will try to re-scheduled if the temps are supposed to be this cold.  I prefer 25-30 degrees or more not 12 degrees like it was today.  Brrrrrrr….  However, this family with 2 adult children and one “almost” adult, they are a very busy family and just couldn’t make it any other day.  So, we went for it.  It was very cold but at least the wind wasn’t blowing like the weathermen had predicted earlier in the week.  Anyway, “S” family, thank-you so much for putting up with me and being a bunch of troopers.  Mr. Sully too.  :)   It was also wonderful meeting all of you today.  So, while you are waiting for the rest of your images, here is a little sneak peek for you.  Also, feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you think so far.  Just click on the comments link below this post to leave your comment.  Thank-you, Kimberly

Please feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you think so far.  Just click on the comments link below this post to leave your message.  Thank-you, Kimberly

A Year in Review and More!
{Southeastern Wisconsin Photographer}

Call List for Spring and/or Winter Wonderland Sessions

I posted about this a couple of weeks ago and it is generating a lot of interest…. so, call or email now so you don’t miss out.  :)

I am now taking names of interested parties for Winter Snow Sessions and/or Spring time sessions.   I am the first to admit that I hate the cold weather that is fast approaching.  However, within the cold lies some forgiveness, because I love the winter white scenic snow, and what could be more fun than having a session outside in your winter best outerwear, with the ones you love?  Also, I am already taking names for parties interested in Spring Time sessions.  Many of you know how quickly I book up come spring time.  So, if either of these types of sessions interest you, email me at kimberlyannphotography@yahoo.com with either Snow session or Spring session in the subject box.  Leave me your name, phone number, address and how many people you are looking to get photographed and I will put you all the “call list”.  This is first come, first serve.  For the snow sessions, I will call you when the snow starts to fly and the Spring sessions, you will be called in March to schedule you in for a session in April/May.  Thank-you, Kimberly

And Now, A Year in Review…..

I had such an awesome year that I actually hate to see 2009 come to an end.  But, like they say “all good things must come to an end” and, it’s only going to get better and even though I hate to see 2009 come to an end, I am really looking forward to 2010.  I have lots of new plans and exciting news for 2010.  But, it’s a surprise so, you’ll just have to watch my blog and wait for the announcements.

Anyway, I am working on updating my website with a bunch of new client images from 2009.  But, in the meantime I wanted to post my top favorite 2009 images here.  I tried really hard to narrow it down to 10 images but found that impossible.  So, then I tried 15, then 20, then 25 etc…. all of which I still found impossible because I had so many clients and images that I just loved this year.  Anyway, I finally narrowed it down to 30 something…. LOL  Which was also hard, I wish I could post them all but, I can’t.  So, you’ll just have to visit my website to see all my favorites.  This is one of my many New Years resolutions is to get it updated asap.  Anyway, with that said, Happy Holidays everyone and have a wonderful and healthy new year.  ~Kimberly
